Riley Croker.

What’s New

What has shipped on this site, newest first.

Rilesman Fitness updates

  • Changed which API I was using for the Exercise list to ExerciseDB
  • Added a summary page for a completed workout.
  • Added a timer for the workout.
  • Added a popularity ranking when searching for exercises.
  • Added a substitution feature for exercises.

Rilesman Fitness is live

  • The workout tracker now runs at rcroker.dev/workout, as its own container alongside this site. Sign up to log workouts, browse the exercise catalogue, and track progress over time.
  • Accounts live in a shared identity database, separate from each app's own data, so a single login can carry across future projects on this domain.

Resume and source code

  • Rebuilt the resume PDF so its text is selectable and machine-readable. The previous export had converted every letter to a vector outline, which looked identical but left applicant tracking systems parsing an empty document.
  • Made the Rilesman Fitness repository public, so the Projects page now links straight to the source.

The site went live

  • rcroker.dev now serves this application, replacing the static placeholder that had been sitting there since the server was set up.
  • Added the Experience, Projects, Resume, and Links pages.
  • Deployed as a Docker container behind Caddy on a DigitalOcean droplet, alongside the database that will back the apps to come.
  • Added a sitemap, robots.txt, and a social preview image so shared links render properly.
  • Fixed the navigation overflowing on phones, and raised the link colour contrast to meet WCAG AA.

First build

  • Scaffolded the site with Next.js 16 and Tailwind 4.
  • Built the shared layout, the grey-and-red theme, and the bio.

Coming next

  • Automated deploys, so pushing to GitHub ships the site without a manual rebuild.
